| Po Jun | The Breaker: tears down the old and starts fresh. |
Po Jun means "breaking the army" and is the star of transformation. It represents the power to clear away the old and start again, often compared to the vanguard who breaks through enemy lines first. In traditional Tử Vi it belongs to the Water element and stands for change, reform, spending and fresh starts. "Breaking" sounds harsh, but it is easiest to understand as clearing the ground so something new can be built.
Po Jun in the Life palace
People with Po Jun in the Life palace dislike being boxed in and are not afraid of change. When an old method no longer works they boldly do it differently, and they start while others are still hesitating. They are frank, with clear likes and dislikes, and leave a strong impression. The catch is being drawn to new beginnings more than seeing things through, which can bring ups and downs in work and relationships.
How companion stars change it
Po Jun always meets Qi Sha and Tan Lang across the triangle of palaces in the "Sha Po Lang" pattern, and the palace opposite it always holds Tian Xiang. So Po Jun is a breaking force that always faces a force of repair and order. With Zi Wei it combines authority and reform, the leader who redraws the board; with Wu Qu it boldly expands and cleans up, though money can swing. With Lian Zhen there is much change but also the power to turn the tables, and Po Jun in the Tý or Ngọ palace is traditionally seen as its most powerful position.
In other palaces
In the Career palace (Quan Lộc) Po Jun may bring changes of job or field, but it excels in work that needs renewal, such as reform, new ventures or restructuring. In the Wealth palace (Tài Bạch) big income comes with big spending, so set saving rules in advance. In the Spouse palace (Phu Thê) a relationship may see many changes, and sharing new experiences together keeps it alive. In the Travel palace (Thiên Di) it links to travel, moving house and life abroad, with fresh-start opportunities away from home.
Transformations of Po Jun
According to the app's table, people born in a Gui year get Po Jun Hóa Lộc (prosperity), and a Jia year gives Po Jun Hóa Quyền (power). Po Jun never receives Hóa Khoa or Hóa Kỵ in this table. Lộc helps change bring gain rather than loss, with money arising from tearing down and rebuilding. Quyền strengthens the ability to lead change, often leading to roles that reshape an organization or situation.
