Privacy policy (draft)
What we collect
When you create a match map or add your name to one: nickname, birth date (the lunar year is used for the match), and, if you choose, birth time and country. To limit requests, IP addresses are counted only as a hash for one hour.
Ads and cookies
This site shows Google AdSense ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings (https://adssettings.google.com) and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info. Information such as device details and the address of the page you view may be sent to Google with ads, under Google’s policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
Google sign-in
To create a match map or group, or to save your details, you sign in with a Google account. The account number Google confirms is never stored as is; it is turned into an irreversible hash to tell accounts apart, and we do not receive your email, name or photo. A site-only cookie (tv_sid, up to 60 days) keeps you signed in.
Saving my details
When you view your fortune while signed in (or press "Save my details"), we store your birth date, birth time, country, gender and nickname so you can see your fortune right away on another device. "Delete saved details" removes them and stops automatic saving on that device. You can also delete your whole account at any time.
What we do not store
If you are not signed in, names, birth dates and times entered to see your own chart and fortune are calculated in your browser and never sent to our server.
Purpose
Calculating matches, showing the match map and managing it (removing friends, deleting the map).
Who can see what
The map shows only nickname, zodiac sign and match score. Your birth date (and time) is visible only to the map owner, and only if you choose to share it.
Retention and deletion
Data is deleted automatically about one year after the last activity. Map owners can remove friends or delete the map at any time; friends can remove their own name.
Under 14
People under 14 cannot add their name to a match map.
